Ward 5 Blog Post: South-West Oxford Recycling Audit Results

9/9/2021 10:32:09 AM

Congratulations and thank-you to both our residents and our staff for our outstanding recycling audit results. On average the curbside samples analyzed consisted of 96.10% acceptable material and 3.9% contamination. These results are vastly superior to other Ontario Municipalities that on average have a 10% contamination rate. This means our residents are following the guidelines and our driver is not accepting material that should not be in the blue box for recycling. This is a job well done by everyone. Thank-you and please keep up the great work! In the event you have questions about what is recyclable and what is not please refer to the recycling calendar recently delivered or the County “waste line” website. Additionally, for residents in the north end of the township that want to recycle film plastic bags there is now a box at the Beachville Fire Hall only for film plastic.
