Did you know that October 20th, 2020 has been declared by the Township of South-West Oxford as Random Acts of Kindness Day? It was declared at the Council meeting held on September 1st, 2020. Thoughtfullness and kindness prevails in our community, and participating in this day will help to stregthen those qualities our community already has. It will bring our community closer together, one good deed at a time. We are now living in uncertain times, what better way to lift our spirits and nourish the soul.
The mission of the Random Act of Kindness Foundation is to "make kindness the norm". My mission today is to remind everyone that October 20th is soon approaching and by participating in Random Acts of Kindness Day, you too can help make a change towards a new norm. You can make a change in yourself and a change for someone else. It can be out new norm. How does this work you might ask?
My answer is simply to be kind to someone else. Show a Random Act of Kindness to a total stranger, a friend or a family member. By participating, we will see that good does prevail regardless of the hardships. You will have the joy of knowing that you have done something good for someone else, and you will receive the wonderful feeling that comes from giving.
