SWOX Random Acts of Kindness Day

We live in a very "kind" community. The nature of our people is, by and large, to be kind, considerate and respectful - and that is worth honouring and celebrating. The Engage and Inform Commitee of SWOX has designated October 20, 2020 as our first annual "Random Acts of Kindness Day" where we are inviting everyone in SWOX (and our neighbouring municipalities) to simply do a random act of kindness for someone/anyone else. This random act is not just about improving the quality of life in our communities, but medical experts agree that being kind actually improves one's own health and sense of well-being and belonging. In addition, while we all enjoy the benefits of living in a compassionate community, it does require that we practice regularly being kind and compassionate.
So being kind is good for you and for everyone around you, so keep up the good work, and on October 20th, celebrate being part of our great communities with us by doing one truly random act of kindness.
We each help build the community we want to live in!
